Matthias Wahn studied physics at the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He obtained his Ph.D. at the Fritz Haber Institute, Berlin, and the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research, Düsseldorf, in the field of solid state physics. As a postdoctoral fellow at an international chemical company in Germany, he was engaged in the development of organic semi-conductor materials.

Matthias Wahn has been working in the field of Intellectual Property since 2011. In 2018, Matthias Wahn joined the firm of Gulde & Partner.
