Dr. Petra Westphal took a degree in Chemistry at the University of Cologne with a specialization in Organometallic Chemistry. Subsequently, she gained first professional experience in the chemical industry as a product manager in the field of Laundry & Home Care.

Dr. Petra Westphal has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2000 when she joined the patent department of a major German chemical-pharmaceutical company. Her technical area of specialization is on life science inventions, polymer chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry.
