Jean-Michel earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the Paul Sabatier University, as well as a research Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the ENSEEIHT Grande École; both institutions are located in Toulouse. He completed his studies with a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in Electrical Engineering from the Paul Sabatier University. His doctoral research focused on the high-voltage field and metal-oxide surge arresters using ZnO varistors. He also holds an Advanced Master’s (Mastère Spécialisé) in Quality Management from the ENSAM Grande École in Paris.
He began his career in France as a research engineer at Merlin Gérin/Schneider Electric, a researcher at LGET-CNRS in collaboration with SEDIVER and EDF research center, a teaching assistant at Paul Sabatier University, and a quality process engineer at Matra Automobile’s “Renault Espace” production site. Later, he moved to Germany, joining Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (Automotive) in Munich as Quality Assurance Manager for all SPS operations in Germany.
Since 2004, Jean-Michel has worked in intellectual property in Munich with leading French, German, and English patent law firms.
He joined Gulde & Partner in 2026.
