Dr. Sascha Trommler

Dr. rer. nat., German Patent Attorney, European Patent and Trademark Attorney

Sascha Trommler studied physics at Dresden University of Technology. He completed his degree in 2008 with a diploma thesis at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW-Dresden). During his studies, he worked for many years as a research assistant in the field of thin-film technology and the research into new materials. Mr Trommler subsequently completed his PhD in the field of thin-film technology and superconductivity, concluding his academic career by being awarded the degree of Dr. rer. nat. at Dresden University of Technology.

Mr Trommler has been working in the field of intellectual property since 2013. He has been a German patent attorney and a professional representative before the European Patent Office since 2018.

Until 2023, Mr Trommler was a partner at a renowned patent and law firm in Germany and now works as an in-house IP manager and as a patent attorney.

He joined the firm Gulde & Partner in 2025 as a freelance consultant and is primarily involved in patent proceedings in the fields of telecommunications and electrical engineering.
